A Sculpture Inspired by the Female Form

JIAOHUA is a design piece rooted in the beauty of the female body and Chinese cultural heritage.

Instead of repeating traditional phallic symbolism, JIAOHUA reimagines the head as a blooming flower inspired by the natural form of the vulva. By transforming anatomy into sculpture, we hope to celebrate the female body not as an object of observation, but as a language of beauty, creation, and expression.

Inspired by Nüshu

The body of JIAOHUA is engraved with patterns inspired by Nüshu (女书)—the world's only known writing system historically created and used exclusively by women.

Originating in Hunan, China, Nüshu preserved women's voices, friendships, and life stories across generations. Its graceful strokes intertwine with climbing vines throughout JIAOHUA, turning forgotten words into sculptural ornament and transforming history into touchable design.

• A layered floral head inspired by blooming petals, creating rich sculptural details.
